Recorded in the height of pandemic lockdown live to iPhone, Hawkins first guitar record is a rough-edged balm. After not having played much for a few years he began improvising & recording via voice memo on his phone. Playing both straight & with a looper everything was captured in one take. Equal parts experimentation & craft, the music is intimate & expansive all at once.

Mastered by Justin Pizzoferrato (Dinosaur Jr, Kim Gordon, Parquet Courts), he helped unify the somewhat disparate quality of some of these sessions. Hawkins made this document to give to friends but the goal with this (slightly) wider release is that more people will find their way inside these tunes.
